Ingrid “The Intrepid” Johnson is a dynamic force in the world of health,wellness, and fearless living. Raised in Sweden, her journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from the University of Michigan, and evolved into a lifelong dedication to movement and well-being with a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology.
With over 25 years of experience as a trainer, Ingrid holds a Pilates Certification and is a CHEK Institute Corrective Exercise Specialist. For the past 10 years, she has been deeply involved with the Rock Steady Boxing program, empowering individuals with Parkinson’s disease to take control of their health and strength.
Ingrid is the author of the inspiring book, “Smoothies for Parkinson’s: A Recipe for Vibrant Living,” blending her expertise in nutrition and wellness to support those with Parkinson’s. Known for her fearless message of “taking action,” Ingrid lives up to her nickname “The Intrepid” by encouraging her audience to embrace challenges head-on.
A polyglot fluent in five languages, Ingrid is a prolific reader who continuously stays ahead with the latest research. She produces her own
exercise videos on YouTube tailored to people with Parkinson’s, exemplifying her dedication to making fitness accessible to all.

Wendy “The Trailblazer” Frame is a graduate of Univerity of Florida in Occupaional Therapy with over 20 years of experience. She has been successful in helping adults and children achieve full functional independence. Known for her innovative approach, she uniquely combines her extensive OT expertise with her passion for Rock Steady Boxing, creating highly effective exercise programs for them.
A risk-taker and lifelong learner, Wendy’s ability to explore new methods allows her to craft dynamic and personalized routines. Her blend of Clinical knowledge and bold, forward-thinking strategies results in transformative experiences for her clients- helping them reach their full potential. Beyond her professional life, Wendy is deeply grateful for her wonderful family, her husband and two daughters, with home she volunteers for the National Charity League. Her adventurous spirit extends to being a travel advisor for people around the world.
Joshua “The Catalyst” Sasaki was born into a Japanese American family that deeply valued resilience, honor, and self-discipline.
Yet, his early years were marked by relentless bullying in elementary school. Feeling vulnerable and on the brink of a troubled path, Joshua discovered Boxing and Muay Thai. These martial arts became his turning point – providing him with self-confidence and a way to protect himself.
Joshua continued his training throughout high school, where Martial Arts became his lifeline, and where he integrated weight training, to further improve his physical and mental strength. This gave him the confidence to Compete in many USA Amateur Boxing and IKF Muay Thai tournaments. Joshua has gained a reputation for his fierce focus, determination, and the quiet, unyielding confidence that defines a true warrior.
Highly respected – Joshua “The Catalyst” Sasaki has been dedicated to coaching Boxing and Muay Thai with the bigger picture of transforming lives by building confidence. Recently, he has expanded this mission by teaching Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson’s.
Understanding the profound impact that boxing can have on improving balance, coordination, and overall well-being, Joshua is committed to making the “from weak-to -confident” difference in your life.

Nick Jones began his martial arts journey at age 15 while growing up in Encinitas, California. Over the years he trained in several disciplines including Kung Fu, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu before ultimately dedicating himself to Muay Thai.
What sets Nick apart is his focus on how the body moves. He blends the precision and striking systems of boxing and Muay Thai with functional strength training through calisthenics and bodyweight exercises, helping his students to develop power, balance, mobility, and control.
Nick believes great training builds more than physical strength — it builds confidence and resilience. He recently completed the Rock Steady coach training course. His goal is to help every people with Parkinsons to move better, grow stronger, and discover what they’re truly capable of.

Born in 1988 in Dallas Texas, Lenzi has served our Country with the Marines for 4 years Special Operations Command. She has a B.S. in Sports and Health Sciences and is currently working on her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. She started her own Dance group to inspire movement and rhythm and brings that passion to all her classes.

And what a set of skills she has! Johnson not only holds a masters degree in exercise science from the University of Michigan, but she also has nearly two decades of full-time experience in the field.

Prior to being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease seven years ago, Tom Brown considered himself an athlete. He would run three miles a day during the week and 10 miles each day on the weekends. But the disease literally slowed him down.

With Rock Steady Boxing in Encinitas, coach Ingrid Johnson is helping people fight Parkinson’s disease and live happier and healthy lives.

Rock Steady Certified Coach and NASM certified personal trainer. Ray holds a Masters Degree
in Education and as a former High School Principal, brings with him many years of experience in coaching, teaching and leadership. An avid Golfer, he is currently working
on his Titleist Golf Conditioning Certificate at Armor Golf Performance FIT Academy.
“My goal is to improve lives by encouraging people to a higher level of health and
fitness than they knew was even possible. I believe that spiritual, mental and
physical health is all interconnected and can be elevated with effective coaching!”
